Programme Overview
The Tax Graduate Trainee Development Programme (TGTDP) develops accounting and finance graduates into tax-ready professionals through structured tax training, practical exposure, mentoring and professional development. The programme is available to individual graduates and to accounting, audit and financial institutions seeking to develop the tax competence of their graduate trainees. Organisations engage WTS Tax Matrix Academy to provide structured tax training for their trainees while they gain practical workplace experience.
Programme Structure
The programme integrates three core components:
- Tax & Accounting Work Experience
Practical exposure to tax and accounting assignments, including tax compliance, tax advisory, tax health checks, disputes, transfer pricing and financial reporting. - Certificate in Tax Operations
Structured training covering Managing Tax Practice, Payroll Tax Administration, VAT, Accounting for Tax in Financial Statements and Advanced Tax Practice. - Professional Qualification Development
Progression towards professional tax qualifications, including ADIT, alongside practical tax development.
